What a great Easter Day! The most memorable since back in VA in '77 when Roger had to go to the hospital because his heart wouldn't slow to normal. We planned well the night before & had things ready (ok- by 2am). Everyone (ok - Megan & Ryan & all) showed up at 9 (ok - Megan got there by 9:15) and we hunted baskets & had our eggs A la yuck & everyone left at 10 & we were only 1 hour late for choir rehearsal. The start to a perrrfect day. We had 2 additional strong male voices and I could feel how wonderful we sounded. Unseen angelic voices were there to support our humble offering, I think. "The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me," and the words of the songs we had routinely rehearsed for so many weeks were carried deep into my soul on this holiest of occasions to make it difficult to voice without tears the heartfelt message - a message of unbounded hope to all those who suffer spiritually, as well as physically or emotionally:
Because He lives,
I can bear whatever burden may be mine.
I am encircled in the arms of love divine.
Because He lives,
He will banish every shadow of my pain.
Every sorrow will be swallowed up in Him,
For in HIs hand is healing for the weary soul.
This I know -
Because He lives.
I feel such personal gratitude for the Savior of all Mankind - and for His gift of having YOU in my life.

Was ist das?
I'm here to let you all know that we're going to really dress this up for company as we've put this location on our Christmas latter. That's committment! (Not my strong suit.) Maybe I'll just put in our Christmas letter for a start.
So I start looking around the headings & instructions and everything's in German! Now I have a really great accent and I remember most of my ALM dialogue from Jr. high school, but I don't actually understand German. Roger, did you get in here? I wish you'd post some pics, cause no one wants to look at this w/o pics. AOK! ROGER will dress this up. And I changed the language to French.

Roger & I tried to have a cool date tonight. We went down to the beach (paid $10) and watched an old favorite movie (Un Homme et Une Femme) we saw when we were first married. So we took pillows & blankets & Chinese food and sat in the back watching it on our car DVD player. Didn't want to use up gas so we turned the engine off & just used the battery. An hour or so into the film there was this loud screeching sound and we lunged to turn off the car. Too late. The battery was dead. Dad was surprised, but I had predicted as much. We called & got disconnected from USAA a few times, but finally got thru before my phone died. 45 minutes later a tow truck came to jump us & we were on our way. I told Roger if that had been our first date, I wouldn't have gone out with him again. j/k Harmless adventures are fun- esp to blog.

Shazaam!
Boy, if I had time I'd really let loose on this. I have a new camera and I Can learn to download the photos (didn't do ANY & my camera was stolen last week minutes after I filled the card!)& it seems like I'm typing faster than ever. There's so much to say, but I have to do my bills & pick up Charity & Jill at the airport & get ready for Doug's wedding. But definitely after the election my life will change - timewise. All our lives may change drastically soon after that blessed/cursed event. Oh well - life begets life and you're not down till you're 6 feet under - and even then not for long. Oooo. That sounds potentially kinda Halloween-y! I'd better stop now. I'm digging myself into a hole - oop there I go again!
